In our busy day to day, current society, we do not often think much of rituals outside our intentional magic making.

Daily rituals are a great way to decrease stress, improve clarity, and make the mundane magical. As a working, witchy momma of five, I have had to learn to make magic on the fly as well as where to look for it!

So lets take a look at some daily rituals sure to increase your magical life. Take what works and leave the rest, I have learned that most people have varying morning routines, for example my husband has to hit the ground with the a shower while I am a bit more flexible.

Here are some great mornings rituals

  • Use a shower bomb or a few drops of essential oils in your shower.
  • Have a cup of tea, choose a blend that will better help you achieve the results you want to get out of your day and don’t forget to stir clockwise.
  • Go for a walk, either do a walking meditation, or just get lost in the nature around you.
  • Yoga and exercise is a great way to ground and better prepare for your day
  • Eat the rainbow, or something in season that helps you to feel nourished and like you are empowering your most magical tool, your self.
  • Sit quietly and read or journal before you start the day.
  • Pull a tarot card to see what lessons the day have in store for you.
  • Make a to do list, try writing categories with no more than three items to better manage your day and use some number magic
  • Make your bed and set out your night clothes
  • Listen to music, dance, and raise your vibration

Here are some evening rituals

  • Explore the magical properties of spices and herbs, then do some kitchen witching.
  • Light some candles and have a cup of chamomile tea .
  • Take a magical bath or soak your feet in epsom salt.
  • Update your book of shadows.
  • Reflect on your day and journal.
  • Read about something new, your want to learn, or some great fantasy.
  • Set time aside to completely unplug, turn off harsh lights, and use fairy lights.
  • Put on comfy clothes that help signal your body to relax.
  • Charge water with crystals in advance for the next day, a lot of people like to do this by setting the crystals outside a bottle of water but in a container together especially since some are not good to consume.
  • Meditate, use a guided meditation or just do some on your own.

Some of these activities might seem really muggle, but when you start looking for magic, you will see it is everywhere and in the most simple of tasks. I enjoy my books, cards, and crystals as much as the next witch, but we are our best tool. When you create daily rituals that promote self care, your body, life, and magical skills all benefit.

Obviously you do not need to do all of these suggestions, I find that if I make time for just a few and commit the time routinely, that it improves my day immensely. If that is not magic, I don’t know what is!

Here is a bonus to try out, this is my WitchyThyme Self love in a tin which can be either made as a tea or a magical bath and is as pretty as it is magical. NOTE do not consume essential oils. Be sure you are using organic, food grade items or that you have grown your self chemical free.

  • equal parts rose
  • equal parts hibiscus
  • loose lavender or sub 5-10 drops lavender essential oil
