Aside from wearing my witch hat, I also wear the mom hat! Here in the U.S we have already had our unofficial start to Summer and our witchlings are out of school or will be here shortly; so I thought it would be fun to share some ideas for your witchlings!

I want to focus on some magical cleaning since it is both one of my favorite ways to make magic in my home daily and sometimes the most neglected if I am being totally honest.

Here are some ways to make those daily chores a little more fun and a lot more magical!

  • Have your witchling make some all natural elixirs, I will post a recipe for an all purpose cleaner that I love using. These can only be stored for up to 4 weeks, so you can make small amounts and do this weekly if desired.
  • Practice thanking your stuff and the materials used in your magical cleaning.
  • Start both your days off with tea, let them pick the blends and or intuitively choose a blend based on what energy you want to possess for the day.
  • Include nature in your ritual and maybe do a craft, you can go for a walk and look for materials to make a wand or besom, then display in a special place to serve as a reminder of your magical cleaning rituals.
  • Use the rainbow, have fun making to do lists on dry erase boards and color code it with what chakra or feeling you want to have when you have completed your list.
  • Journal about how you felt before and after completing your daily cleaning rituals or just record activity, then look back on all that you accomplished weekly.
  • Break up tasks with a nature walk.
  • Invite the spirit of the fae in with some singing and dancing, not only is this good for inviting the fae folk into your home, but it is also good for raising the vibration in your home.
  • Set a timer and make it a game against the clock
  • Let them light candles, open windows, shout at all the unwanted energy to get out, and encourage play.
  • Set an intention before getting started of what you want to get done for the day, how that is going to feel once it is done, then set a reward for once it is over. Reward does not need to be a thing, it can be making something in the kitchen once it is cleaned, having a treat, working on a craft, etc.
  • Plant a cleaning ritual herb garden together, then use and harvest the herbs for elixirs and other rituals.

Hope you both have a magical summer and enjoy some of these ideas and do not forget to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest for more updates!

All purpose, All natural cleaning elixir recipe:

  • ½ cup of distilled white vinegar
  • 2 cups of water
  • 20 drops of essential oil, I like anything citrus or lavender, but get creative!

It is best to use a glass spray bottle, if all you have is plastic, then just plan to dispose of your elixir at the end of the day. If you do not have either, a bowl and a rag can work, don’t let this hold you back!

If you are wanting clean and polish wood, just add 2 TBSP of your choice of oil to the above recipe.

If you are cleaning natural stone, remove vinegar and use an all natural soap or borax instead, just a small amount.

Have fun creating!
