If you are a…

…and probably a whole lot of other things I am forgetting, this post is for you!

A year ago and really every summer since I can remember, life has been chaos in my household. I am an empath and introvert, so I’m usually suffering from no alone time with the kids mid way through summer break and hanging on by a thread. In this season of parenthood, I’ve typically spent the summer getting kids to practice, doing something fun with the younger ones, all while working multiple jobs. I know whole heartedly i’m going to miss it all someday, but it doesn’t make things any easier.

Mid July you start filling out the calendar for school meetings, tons of shopping,Dr appointments, cramming in those last minute summer memories and you know it’s not slowing down again until January next year! To make matters even more fun, in the past I’ve gotten summer jobs and been itching to head back to school myself…this usually results in me taking one class and being like,WHAT WAS I THINKING! I am proud to say I have broken that last cycle, but really fighting that urge to take a class this fall still.

Now that I’ve painted a day in my summer life, let’s talk this year. I’ve been home with all my family for 5 months and I am homeschooling 5 kids this year, while working all my jobs. It’s very hard to recharge and honestly every week is new, there is no new normal. No matter what your life looks like, I think this is a feeling we are all dealing with.
